The Gettysburg AddressContents: - The Gettysburg Address
Vaudio Media chose this document as our demonstration project, because it combines the simplicity of vocabulary and the depth of ideas that makes one sit up and take notice. It is a short but powerful piece that is well known, but not frequently accessed and studied. The questions that were constructed to test for comprehension reflect the range of information and concepts that can be extracted from a mere 150+ separate words. A few questions look to the arithmetic lessons that can be extracted, but then expand to include arithmetic that clarifies the historical timeline. Here are the first four lines of the Gettysburg Address and some questions associated with those lines. The prescribed procedure, as with all Vaudio Media?s Sunshine Readers, is to distribute the answer sheet and then test multiple times until mastery is achieved without prompts. 1. Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, 2. given November 19, 1863 3. on the battlefield near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, USA. 4. Four score and seven years ago,?.
